Youth Inspiring Youth
Our Mission is to empower youth through community engagement, education, and the cultivation of strong relationships with non-profits, businesses, and the communities in which they serve. We ultimately want to help create a just and equitable society where everyone can be free to not only chase their dreams, but to achieve and surpass them. We recognize this is an ambitious goal, but we believe that we can always work toward that dream by continuously learning, collaborating with a diverse group of people in an inclusive way, recognizing assets our communities and ourselves bring to the table and building on them, innovating, and doing our work with integrity. We stand by these core ideas and values to achieve our mission.
Our Promise is to help empower youth by the manifestation of three principles: access to educational opportunities, resources, and a growing peer and professional network. We want to help people find their purpose, their “why”; that which drives them and inspires them. We will work with youth to help develop plans and connect them to the resources and mentors to help them execute them.
SELF (Education)
Self Awareness is the first and most valuable building block to achieving one's dreams and lasting growth. Once we have a better understanding of ourselves, we become empowered to experience ourselves as unique and separate individuals. We also become more aware of our strengths and can more easily identify the necessary areas throughout our lives in which require improvement.
LEADERSHIP
Leadership is the necessary flame for any trailblazer who wishes to not only lead a revolution but create systemic change. There is simplicity in understanding oneself. Although, the greater test of one's strength is their ability to influence and inspire others. As DreemChasers, we believe that it is not only our duty to liberate ourselves but to share our wisdom and empower others to do the same.
COMMUNITY (Engagement)
Our Communities are the platforms in which we operate. Too often, young people find themselves without purpose, isolated, and disconnected from the world. When in reality, we are all interconnected by an abundance of shared experiences, modern life struggles, and essential basic needs. As DreemChasers, we seek to listen, understand, and challenge the status quo to enrich and enhance the lives of our nation's youth. Only through a deeper understanding of ourselves and the communities in which we operate can we work together to find modern solutions to modern problems.
